The young actor known for stand-out roles in IRON MAN 3 and James Wan’s INSIDIOUS franchise, Ty Simpkins, has landed the lead role in Universal Pictures’ rampaging dino-sequel JURASSIC WORLD. He’s expected to join Bryce Dallas Howard, who’s still finalising her deal, for the epic adventure being directed by SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED’s Colin Trevorrow. We’re also hearing New Girl‘s Jake Johnson is being lined up for a reunion with his SNG director.
Plot details are as-yet-unknown but rumours suggest John Hammond’s dream of that family friendly theme park are finally realised. Well, if so, that is sure to change if we know this groundbreaking franchise.
Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall are once again producing the pic set for cinemas 12 June 2015.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
