We’ve an epic collection of viral posters from director Spike Lee’s controversial remake of Chan-wook Park’s South Korean revenge classic OLDBOY. They each look back at an important (and mostly political) points in US history, which when you think, isn’t surprising given Lee’s frosty reception of all things “establishment”. They’re also Juxtaposed with a tortured and desperate Josh Brolin, whose character Joe Doucett will later make a dark and demented journey to find the man responsible for his 20 year imprisonment.
By the way, you can catch the first glance at Sharlto Copley’s scarred villain Adrian Pryce, by clicking the following link, if you missed it.
Oldboy is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of Joe Doucett, a man who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement, for no apparent reason. When he is suddenly released without explanation, he begins an obsessive mission to find out who imprisoned him, only to discover that the real mystery is why he was set free.
OLDBOY co-stars Sharlto Copley, Samuel L. Jackson, Lance Reddick, Michael Imperioli, James Ransone and opens in US cinemas on 27th November and the UK 6th December.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
