Rising beauty Genesis Rodriguez, best known for roles in throwaway actioners THE LAST STAND, MAN ON A LEDGE and the forthcoming HOURS, is set to join Kevin Smith’s twisted horror pic TUSK, which was recently announced would star Justin Long and the brilliant Michael Parks. She’s currently in final talks for the film loosely based on the crazy ad someone posted online asking for someone to live rent-free in a home as long as they constantly wore a handmade walrus costume.
Smith’s adaption is said to a more grisly, intense version with Parks, previously featuring in the indie filmmaker’s RED STATE, on familiar unhinged duties as a reclusive old seafarer, who after being asked for an interview by an online podcaster (Long), sets about turning the modern journalist into his gruesome plaything.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
