There’s A Light In The Life Of This ‘Oldboy’ With NYCC Poster!

We’re only weeks away for director Spike Lee’s controversial (and some would say pointless) remake of Chan-wook Park’s South Korean masterpiece OLDBOY. The English-language adaptation is led by Josh Brolin, whose advertising executive Joe Doucett becomes the unlucky individual mysteriously held captive for 20 years. Why? Well, that’s the answer his relentless, dark journey will take him on as he seeks those responsible.. but will he really want to know the truth?

OLDBOY is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of Joe Doucett, a man who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement, for no apparent reason.  When he is suddenly released without explanation, he begins an obsessive mission to find out who imprisoned him, only to discover that the real mystery is why he was set free.

Check out this limited edition New York Comic Con poster which will be given out to attendees at the upcoming event.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
