Sean Anders is set to direct sequel HORRIBLE BOSSES 2; alongside New Line, he is currently on the look out for potential new bad bosses. The original saw the likes of Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell and Jennifer Aniston brilliantly play a hat trick of psychotic bosses.
No stranger to the comedy genre, the newest incarnation of Captain Kirk – Chris Pine – has been approached to play one of the titular bosses in the sequel and it is thought he is wanted to play the son in a father-son duo. Christoph Waltz was the first choice for the senior role, but unfortunately scheduling clashes have meant that he has had to decline. Pine is currently free to film and is said to be contemplating the younger part.
The original trio of disgruntled employees, Charlie Day, Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis, have all signed on to star in the sequel. Plot details are thin at the moment but we can probably expect more of the same, though whether the trio will be trying to kill their nemesis’ has yet to be commented on.
Currently the sequel is earmarked for a 2014 Thanksgiving release in the States.
