The first trailer and poster has hit for writer/director Pablo Larcuen’s found-footage slasher HOOKED UP, which is about to begin it’s festival run. The indie filmmaker proudly proclaims his feature film is the first to shot entirely using an iPhone. The plot, which from this footage suggests something similar to the first segment in V/H/S, follows two best friends travelling from New York City to Barcelona. Looking to get over a break-up with a long-term lover, they find a night of partying and picking up girls turns sadistic when they become trapped in a evil-dwelling house.
UNKNOWN and ORPHAN’s Jaume Collet-Serra produces the film starring Stephen Ohl, Jonah Ehrenreich and Julia Molins. No general release dates confirmed as yet.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
