Former Bond Brosnan To Lead Tech-Themed Thriller ‘I.T.’

Pierce-Brosnan-1

It’s been sometime since former 007 star Pierce Brosnan led a big-screen feature film, which was arguably Roman Polanski’s 2010 thriller THE GHOST, opposite Ewan McGregor. That may be about to change as the Irishman has signed on to star in tech-themed revenge thriller I.T. which is being directed by Stefano Sollima. Italian filmmaker’s previous work includes acclaimed international hit series GOMORRA and ROMANZO CRIMNALE. His first feature film was last years crime-thriller A.C.A.B. (ALL COPS ARE BASTARDS).

Voltage Pictures is financing the project with Brosnan playing a successful book publisher who finds he, his family and livelihood threatened by a young disgruntled I.T. consultant. The film has a screenplay by Dan Kay. We’ll keep you posted as the supporting cast comes together.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
