Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have another project now in their increasing gut-busting catalogue and having just added the adorable Lizzy Caplan to THE INTERVIEW, we’ve news of another team-up. THIS IS THE END duo will produce HAROLD & KUMAR creators Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg’s raunchy comedy CHERRIES. The duo made their directorial debut with HAROLD & KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY after writing the first film.
Hurwitz and Schlossberg will rewrite a previous draft by Brian & Jim Kehoe of the story following three fathers determined to stop their daughters from entering a pact to lose their virginity on prom night. The project is being described as an adult version of AMERICAN PIE, told from a parental point-of-view, which may be handy given they also helmed the decent-enough sequel AMERICAN PIE: REUNION.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
