DEADWOOD creator David Milch is currently prepping a brand new drama series for HBO titled THE MONEY. The plot will centre on the wealth and corruption among the super elite of society with acclaimed Irish actor Brendan Gleeson as American mogul and patriarch James Castman. A man whose pursuit of power and influence in an effort to expand his successful media empire may come at a major cost to control his family and business.
We can now confirm talented Tyneside-born beauty Andrea Riseborough and THE BIRDCAGE funnyman Nathan Lane have joined the cast of the pilot being directed by Justin Chadwick (THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL). No word yet of Riseborough’s specific role but Lane will play Gordon McCarren, a desperate reporter for Castman’s VistaCorp’s New York Herald and whose job hangs by a thread.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
