Good to see that this one is finally moving. It appears that Universal have finally hired a writer for their upcoming sequel/ reboot LEGEND OF CONAN, a film which will see Arnold Schwarzenegger reprise one his first and most famous characters. Andrea Berloff, the talented screenwriter who penned Oliver Stone’s WORLD TRADE CENTER will tackle the script, which has Chris Morgan, the writer responsible for the rebirth of THE FAST & THE FURIOUS franchise, at the studio co-producing.

In a strange circle of truth, Oliver Stone co-wrote the 1982 ‘original CONAN THE BARBARIAN with John Milius, quite a violent film, a fact that the new movie is said to share its tone with.

Although Berloff has just the one major credit to her name, she has a slew of projects in the pipeline, including the New Line housed STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON, which we believe is the N.W.A. biopic, and a new adaptation of the King Arthur legend for Disney.
