Comic horror MAGGIE is currently shooting in New Orleans with a personal story following a young girl infected by a zombie virus that is slowly sweeping the globe. Oscar-nominee Abigail Breslin (currently seen in UK cinemas in Brad Anderson’s taut psychopath thriller THE CALL) is the unfortunate titular teenager, while former Californian ‘Govenator’ Arnold Schwarzenegger plays her doting and desperate father. Henry Hobson directs the film from a script by John Scott 3.
We have more news on casting as Brit beauty Joely Richardson has signed on to play the Schwarzenegger’s wife and mother to Breslin’s flesh-eating female youngster. It’s been quite some time since since we’ve had a genuine gut-busting zombie effort, so fingered crossed MAGGIE delivers when it’s released next year!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
