‘The Chronicles Of Narnia’ Number Four Is In The Works

Narnia: voyage of the dawn treaderHere’s something that will definitely split the film masses – it looks like THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA will be getting film number four after all. While no script has been written just yet, it was announced by the C.S. Lewis Company that they will be developing THE SILVER CHAIR for the big screen.

Mark Gordon and Douglas Gresham, the step son of THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA author C.S. Lewis, will be serving as producers alongside Vincent Sieber, the head of C.S. Lewis company. In the announcement today, Gresham said:

“I have a great deal of respect for Mark Gordon’s work and am confident that together we can bring the beauty and magical delight that Narnia engenders in the hearts of those who read the books to the screen in THE SILVER CHAIR.”

THE SILVER CHAIR follows Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pole as they are sent to Narnia to try and find King Caspian’s son Prince Rilian. It is considered to be a fan favourite, and is the first book in the Narnia series that does not involve the Pevensie children.

It is also unclear whether Will Poulter and Ben Barnes will be reprising their roles. Ben Barnes played Prince then King Caspian in the movie franchise. Poulter took the role of Eustace Scrubb in VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER, and if he returns for the fourth film will play an important role.
