Only a packed Hall H and an unmissable line-up of footage/guests allowed THN to miss out on a very early screening of Summit Entertainment’s ESCAPE PLAN. This years Comic Con saw the first public screening of the retro prison thriller reuniting 1980s action icons Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger for their first effort together outside of THE EXPENDABLES franchise. While we’d love to been there, an impossible schedule meant we’d have the catch the fun-looking flick back home closer to release.
THE RITE and 1408’s Mikael Håfström is at the helm and here we have the latest clip which sees prison warden Jim Caviezel interrogate the Austrian Oak for some vital information. Of course, Schwarzenegger is not one to disappoint his fans with an amusing comeback!
Ray Breslin is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. After analyzing every high security prison and learning a vast array of survival skills so he can design escape-proof prisons, his skills are put to the test. He’s framed and incarcerated in a master prison he designed himself. He needs to escape and find the person who put him behind bars.
ESCAPE PLAN co-stars Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Vinnie Jones, Vincent D’Onofrio and Amy Ryan. It’s is set for both UK and US cinemas 18th October.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
