Stunning, Haunting Trailer For Savage Survival Shocker ‘Autumn Blood’

Every so often an independent genre effort breaks out from the crowd, no matter what country it hails from. Horror or suspense fans or more accepting than most when it comes to a decent entry and so Austrian survival thriller AUTUMN BLOOD is looking a great bet in finding an audience and could become a classic after deciding to shoot in English. This first trailer looking absolutely stunning regarding location and the intense storyline is gripping as young brother and sister are hunted for sport. Check it out below along with the first poster.

High in the Mountains on a secluded farm a widowed mother dies leaving her two children alone and orphaned. Fearing being taken away and split up they keep their mother’s death a secret and survive off the land with no one to rely on but each other. The sixteen year old sister (Lowe) is one with nature, innocent, and unaware of the evils that exist in mankind. Her ten year old brother is traumatized and mute from witnessing a disturbing incident years earlier (the death of his father) involving the town’s Mayor (Stormare). As the girl transitions into womanhood a harsh brutality destroys her innocence when savage hunters (Skarsgard and Uhlenbrock) led by the Mayor’s son (Vauramo) attack and rape her. A social worker (Bejhed) from a distant city arrives to investigate but ultimately it is the siblings who must come of age to protect each other and survive.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
