New Bloody Images & Soundtrack Sample From Kimberly Pierce’s ‘Carrie’ Reboot

Earlier today THN brought you a brand new television spot from Sony and Screen Gems’ CARRIE reboot which is directed by BOYS DON’T CRY’s Kimberly Pierce. Now we’ve another batch of blood-soaked stills from the contemporary update of Brian DePalma’s supernatural classic 1976 horror.

Peirce is said to have gone right back to the best-selling novel by legendary author Stephen King for inspiration, with Chloe Grace Moretz taking on the iconic role previously portrayed by an Oscar-nominated Sissy Spacek. We’ve also included a special look at the foreboding soundtrack by Marco Beltrami.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
