Christmas Is Coming! Trailers For ‘A Madea Christmas’ & ‘Black Nativity’

Christmas is literally right around the corner folks, and according to The Xmas Clock, there are only 89 days to go until the big day. To celebrate that fact, today we can bring you two trailers for two festive movies hitting screens ‘this holiday season.’

The first is for ‘TYLER PERRY’S A MADEA CHRISTMAS’ a film written by, produced by and directed by Perry, based on his 2011 play of the same name. The ‘Madea’ movies haven’t transferred that well over to the international market, but they are huge money-spinners on home soil, and this big Christmas release will undoubtably be the same.

‘A Madea Christmas’ sees our heroine take a trip to the country to visit her daughter over the festive period. Kathy Najimy, Chad Michael Murray, Anna Maria Horsford, Tika Sumpter, Eric Lively, JR Lemon, Alicia Witt, Lisa Whelchel and Larry the Cable Guy also star. The film opens in the US on the 13th December, and here’s the teaser trailer from Fandango.

Next up is the film version of another stage production, this time a musical adaptation of Langston Hughes’ play BLACK NATIVITY. Jacob Latimore leads a cast as a street wise kid who heads to New York City to spend Christmas with his estranged grandparents. Jennifer Hudson stars as his mother, with solid support from Angela Bassett and Forest Whittaker. The film opens on the 27th November in the US, and the 6th December in the UK.
