Common is set to take on Aslan, Ra’s al Ghul, Qui Gon Jinn and Bryan Mills….also know as Liam Neeson in Warner Bros. upcoming action thriller RUN ALL NIGHT starring Joel Kinnaman, and Ed Harris.
Ever since he secured himself as a definitive action hero in 2008’s TAKEN, Neeson keeps building on his action credentials and giving us more and more reasons to love him. According to The Hollywood Reporter here’s the plot for the upcoming film:
‘Jaume Collet-Serra is directing the movie, which centers on an aging hitman (Neeson) who is forced to take on his brutal former boss (Ed Harris) to protect his estranged son (Kinnaman) and his family.’
Well you can count me in, the film doesn’t sound as if it will stray too far from the kind of Box office hits Neeson has had of over the past five years or so but then again if its not broken don’t fix it. Common has also built up a respectable action reputation from starring roles films such as AMERICAN GANGSTER, WANTED and TERMINATOR SALVATION, in this film Common will reportedly play:
‘Harris’ most trusted killer, a cool and calculated man who lets nothing get in his way’
No word on a release date for the film yet but expect to see it in theatres late 2014/ early 2015. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and produced Roy Lee and Brooklyn Weaver from a script written by Brad Inglesby. As always we’ll update you with any more news that comes our way.
