Summit Entertainment’s ESCAPE PLAN has released the first clip and a couple of new stills from from their retro prison thriller starring 80s action icons Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It’s their first genre effort together outside of THE EXPENDABLES franchise. THE RITE and 1408’sMikael Håfström helm of the film with the following official synopsis:
Ray Breslin is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. After analyzing every high security prison and learning a vast array of survival skills so he can design escape-proof prisons, his skills are put to the test. He’s framed and incarcerated in a master prison he designed himself. He needs to escape and find the person who put him behind bars.
ESCAPE PLAN co-stars Jim Caviezel, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Vinnie Jones, Vincent D’Onofrio and Amy Ryan. It’s is set for both UK and US cinemas 18th October.
Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

sadly after seeing this I am not going to waste my
money on a film that is a rehash plot from prison
break Hollywood has done it yet again cant leave
what has being done before well alone Vinnie jones
has done another prison movie about his bid for freedom
in mean machine that was an rehash plot from the other
stallone prison to freedom movie many many years ago in
escape to victory and Schwarzenegger played the wrongfully
accused in the running man back in the 80’s and stallones third
venture about a guy that do anything to clear his name to say
we all seen this movie metaphore in the stinker 90’s movies
judge dredd and demolition man with stallone playing law enforcers
that got framed for a crime the day I spend my money at cinemas
is when Hollywood gets their acts together even blowing up the white house in
movies is rather stale bread by now but the escape plan (formally the tomb)
/ prison break I think I shall pass also stinks of the fortress with Christopher lambert.
