If you can find it in your heart to step away from GTA V for just a few seconds, I’m here to remind you that there are, in fact, other options available. Having sold over 24 million copies, Michael Bay is stepping up to produce a film version of U.S. Army game, Ghost Recon.
Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia – best known for a few episodes of Jericho and Sony’s upcoming ZORRO reboot – will be penning the script for Warner Bros., but we are yet to hear whether Michael Bay will commit as director or pass the baton to someone else. BAD BOYS 3 may have been announced, but Bay has yet to officially sign on to direct a film post-TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION.
It may not boast the Michael Fassbenders or Tom Hardys of other game adaptations ASSASSIN’S CREED and SPLINTER CELL, but with plenty of other films on Bay’s slate including the gloriously named ZOMBIES VS. ROBOTS, I don’t think we should expect casting news anytime soon!
