First Look At David Ayer’s WWII Tank Actioner ‘Fury’ Starring Brad Pitt

Coming off their two biggest career hits – writer/director David Ayer with cop-thriller END OF WATCH and superstar actor Brad Pitt with the action/horror hybrid WORLD WAR Z – we have the first look at the duo’s first collaboration for World War II action drama FURY. Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, Scott Eastwood and Ayer’s END OF WATCH co-lead Michael Pena also feature in the film with the following plot synopsis:

FURY is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
