Given that we now know just where THE FAST & THE FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT takes place in the fast-paced action franchise, that sequel’s lead, Lucas Black, has officially signed on to reprise his role as Sean Boswell in three more adventures. He’ll join Vin Diesel’s racing crew in the currently-shooting sequel being directed by James Wan, which will again feature Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson and Jason Statham, alongside newcomer Djimon Hounsou.
Black, who first caught the eye in Billy Bob Thornton’s outstanding Oscar-winning drama SLING BLADE, will become a series regular for at least another trio of films. To be fair, it’s news that doesn’t come as a surprise given the conclusion of FAST & FURIOUS 6.
The latest action-adventure is slated to speed into cinemas 11th July 2014.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
