Not one to disappoint his legion of fans, Dwayne Johnson has tweeted another impressive look at the set of Brett Ratner’s adaptation of graphic novel HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS. The mythological action-adventure also has an awesome supporting cast with the likes of Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Aksel Hennie, Reece Ritchie and Tobias Santelmann helping give the legendary Greek demigod a welcome re-introduction to the big-screen.
Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.
Amazing to walk on set today. Detail in design is incredible. #HonoredMythology #Athens300BC #HERCULESMovie pic.twitter.com/y8vz5P7BDy

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
