Bruce Willis Is ‘The Prince’ For Lionsgate

a-good-day-to-die-hard-bruce-willisAction star Bruce Willis is set to take on the lead in a low (comparitively) budget action thriller from Lionsgate titled THE PRINCE, it was announced at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film sees a mob enforcer return to his the town in which he made his name after his teenage daughter goes missing. Willis will play the presumed antagonist who awaits the mob enforcer’s return. Sarik Andreasyan, who has just completed his work on AMERICAN HEIST, will direct the script from RED DAWN remake writers Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore.

Willis has talked about his boredom of action films recently, so perhaps he will be taking a more character based role and will leave the action to somebody else. It’s been a while since Willis gave us a PULP FICTION, THE SIXTH SENSE, or UNBREAKABLE style performance. Although LOOPER came really close, it was Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s mimicking of Willis that really stole the show. THE PRINCE will start shooting in October in New Orleans.
