News Team Assemble! Charity Live-Read For ‘Anchorman’

With the ANCHORMAN sequel coming to cinemas in December, director Adam McKay and producer Judd Apatow have organised a charity live-read of the brilliant first film ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY. McKay and Apatow will be joined by cast members Will Ferrell (‘the Human Torch was denied a bank loan’), Christina Applegate (‘doesn’t it mean Saint Diego?’), Steve Carell (‘I love lamp’), Paul Rudd (‘60% of the time, it works every time’), David Koechner (‘whammy!’) and Jack Black (‘that’s how I roll’), along with host Conan O’Brien. The event is taking place on 21st November and all money raised will go to the charity 826LA, who provide free education programmes for children.

VIP tickets cost $500 and can be purchased at the 826LA site here.

‘Join Adam McKay and Judd Apatow on November 21, 2013 at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica for a live reading of ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY! This event features Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Jack Black, plus BIG DEAL MUSICAL GUESTS. It will be hosted by Conan O’Brien. All proceeds from this event benefit 826LA’s free programs for children. VIP Tickets include:

– One event ticket with preferential seating;

– Admission to VIP reception with Adam McKay, Judd Apatow, and cast members;

– Hosted parking.

Tickets will not be mailed out. Please bring your confirmation number and photo identification.’

One can only hope that there will be some jazz flute involved.

The sequel ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES once again stars Ferrell, Applegate, Carell, Rudd and Koechner. It hits cinemas on 20th December.
