In the realms of unproduced films, none is more talked about than SUPERMAN LIVES. Tim Burton’s failed attempt at bringing The Man Of Steel to the big screen after his success with BATMAN has become the stuff of legends. Nicolas Cage was set to star and giant mechanical spiders (that later appeared in WILD, WILD, WEST) were to be involved in the climax. Now it’s time to revisit the legend that never was as Jon Schnepp, the director of cult shows Metalocalypse and The Venture Bros. leads this Kickstarter funded documentary to find out all he can about the project.
THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN LIVES: WHAT HAPPENED? has just given us a trailer, although it doesn’t tell us much at this stage. There is some archive footage of Nicolas Cage discussing the project, and hopefully he’ll get involved for the documentary itself.
THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN LIVES: WHAT HAPPENED? is released in 2014.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
