I for one am a huge Michelle Williams fan, so to see her working again makes me very happy. Her next starring role comes in the form of Lucile Angellier in Saul Dibb’s (THE DUCHESS) SUITE FRANCAISE.
Adapted from the Irene Nemirovsky novel, Lucile lives in 1940s war-torn France, patiently waiting for news from her prisoner-of-war husband. Living with her stifling mother-in-law, Lucile’s life is stressful and uncomfortable, made worse by the arrival of a flock of Parisian refugees, closely followed by a platoon for German soldiers. With strangers inhabiting their tiny town, Lucile finds her life spinning out of control.
Williams co-stars alongside Kristen Scott Thomas (ONLY GOD FORGIVES), Matthias Schoenaerts (RUST AND BONE), Ruth Wilson (Luther) and Sam Riley (BRIGHTON ROCK). With filming recently completed, it’s been announced that The Weinstein Company has acquired US distribution rights.
Williams can do no wrong in my eyes, and with a cast this talented SUITE FRANCAISE is set to be brilliant!
SUITE FRANCAISE is set for a 2014 release.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
