The Quiet Ones Hammer Jared Harris Sneak Peek

The underrated Jared Harris is to reunite with director Guy Ritchie on Warner Bros. big-budget adaptation of classic 1960 series THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. The actor, son of Hollywood legend Richard Harris, played the nemesis Moriarty of Robert Downey Jr.’s sleuth in SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS.

Shooting commences on THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. next week which will update the cult James Bond-esque series originally led Robert Vaughn and David McCallum. MAN OF STEEL’S Henry Cavill will take Vaughn’s role of Napoleon Solo, with THE LONE RANGER Armie Hammer as his partner, KGB operative Illya Kuryakin. The duo must team up in an effort to end an evil plot being headed by global criminal organisation T.H.R.U.S.H.

The film, which is hoping to begin a MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE-style franchise, will also co-star Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Debicki and Hugh Grant.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
