The directorial debut of talented Hong Kong celebrity Juno Mak RIGOR MORTIS, has received distribution rights in the U.S. The films plot revolves around a miserable Hong Kong public housing tower that is inhabited by a range of supernatural creatures including ghosts, vampires and zombies.
As writer, producer and director of the piece, Mak’s directorial debut is intended as a tribute to the classic supernatural vampire horror films from the 1980s (Geung Si) . The film is also produced by Takeshi Shimizu, a famous horror icon well known for his contribution to THE GRUDGE.
Well Go USA Entertainment has secured the U.S. distribution rights for a planned 2014 release before the films 4th September world premiere in Venice and further release in Hong Kong and Asia early November.
No word yet on a UK distributor, but as always we’ll keep you posted.
