Uma Thurman Featured In Third Clip From Von Trier’s ‘Nymphomaniac’

The latest clip has arrived from Lars Von Trier‘s controversial two-part drama NYMPHOMANIAC, which is led by frequent muse Charlotte Gainsbourg follows the dark journey of self-diagnosed nymphomaniac Joe. She recounts her life story to the old man who saves her from a back alley beating. Broken up into eight chapters, NYMPHOMANIAC, will indeed continue the unique work we’ve come to know (love or loathe) from the Danish filmmaker. It will also be released in both alternative softcore and hardcore versions. Click on the subsequent links to find the first and second clips, if you’ve missed them.

This clip is the first we’ve seen featuring Uma Thurman’s character and is accompanied by the following text. .

Keeping track of a large network of lovers isn’t always easy, and Joe is soon confronted with the unpleasant consequences of being a nymphomaniac.

After all, you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.

The all-star cast includes Stellan Skarsgard, Jamie Bell, Connie Nielsen, Stacy Martin, Shia LaBeouf, Kate Ashfield, Christian Slater, Willem Dafoe, Jean-Marc Barr and Udo Kier. No release dates as yet for the UK or the US but Von Trier’s homeland will be the first to see it when it hits cinemas on Christmas Day.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
