A dramatic punch that is. The title refers not to a fight found in the boxing ring, but Ali’s fight against the US government. The HBO made for TV movie focuses on the courtroom drama surrounding Muhammad Ali’s refusal to be drafted into the Vietnam war. THE QUEEN director, Stephen Frears, is at the helm of this all-star drama which sees two titans of acting, Christopher Plummer and Frank Langella go toe-to-toe as those involved debate law and race relations.
MUHAMMAD ALI’S GREATEST FIGHT will premiere on HBO on 5th October. It stars Christopher Plummer, Frank Langella, Benjamin Walker, Danny Glover, Bob Balaban, Ed Begley Jr., Barry Levinson, and Pablo Schreiber.
