THE NEWSROOM and MAGIC MIKE beauty Olivia Munn is set to appear opposite superstar Johnny Depp in the big-screen adaptation of Kyril Bonfigloi’s 1970s rogue art dealer novels, MORTDECAI. The film is being directed by SECRET WINDOW and STIR OF ECHOES’ David Koepp, and will also co-star Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor. It’s a project being set up at Lionsgate Films as a possible mystery franchise and has a screenplay by Eric Aronson.
We’ll keep you posted as the project continues to come together. Munn meanwhile is currently filming Scott Derrickson’s supernatural cop thriller BEWARE THE NIGHT with Eric Bana, Édgar Ramírez and Sean Harris.
