Thor To Visit Disneyland

We’ve already had a new THOR: THE DARK WORLD preview released today and now it’s been confirmed that Thor himself is headed to Disneyland California later this year with an attraction to promote the release of the movie on November 8th in the US (us lucky UK fans get it a few days earlier on October 30th).  There’s not much detail on what the attraction will include as yet but the Disney Parks Blog did confirm that visitors:

“will be able to visit Asgard this fall and come face-to-face with the Mighty Avenger, Thor.”

THOR: THE DARK WORLD picks up with Thor back on Earth to take on Christopher Eccleston’s evil Malekith and his army of Dark Elves and will reunite with Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and her fellow scientists.  It stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Stellen Skarsgaard, Rene Russo, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Zachary Levi, Jaimie Alexander, Ray Stevenson, Kat Dennings, Christopher Eccleston and Idris Elba.

Earlier this summer, in promotion for IRON MAN 3, Tony Stark’s suits were shown off in the park and when one of the Disney cruise ships, Disney Magic, relaunches later this year fans will have the chance to meet Captain America.  Looks like Disney is doing all it can to promote it’s Avengers ahead of the release of THOR: THE DARK WORLD in October and CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER in 2014.  Expect the promotion to ramp up even further in time for THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON in 2015 and we here at THN are loving it.  Will you be making a trip to Disneyland to visit Thor? Let us know below!
