According to the very reliable source Latino Review, one of the original characters from the STAR WARS universe could be heading to the J.J. Abrams directed STAR WARS EPISODE VII. That character is Obi-Wan Kenobi, and in particular, Ewan McGregor, who has previously said that he would jump back into the role in a heartbeat.
The site says:
I have confirmed this with three close sources that are on the project and they all confirmed to me that Ewan McGregor would be back as a Force Ghost in the upcoming sequel trilogy. McGregor was always down to return.
McGregor appeared in all three of the STAR WARS prequels, starting with STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE all of the way back in 1999. Alec Guinness famously played the role in the 1977 original, but appeared in 1983’s RETURN OF THE JEDI as the aforementioned Force Ghost.
We’ll bring you more STAR WARS news as we get it.
