It’s rare I get excited about a US television project and the series’ that I love, such as THE SOPRANOS, BREAKING BAD or DEXTER, I’ve always found them while they’ve been a couple of seasons in. However, a brand new show currently being prepped at HBO is one I’ll definitely be keeping up with from the first episode. Why? Well, it has been confirmed one of my favourite underrated actors, the superb Irishman Brendan Gleeson will lead a new drama from David Milch, who is also the creator/writer of my favourite series of all time – DEADWOOD.

THE MONEY has received a formal pilot order centres on the wealth and corruption among the super elite. Gleeson will play an American mogul and patriarch James Castman, whose pursuit of power and influence to expand his media empire, may come at a major cost to control his family and business. Milch is executive producing with Art & John Linson, Eric Roth, Sarah Caplan and Frank Rich. The pilot will be directed by Justin Chadwick (THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL).

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
