Another Trailer & Two New Posters For Lee Daniels’ ‘The Butler’

Despite an ongoing legal battle with Warner Bros. over the title of the picture, The Weinstein Company’s historical biopic of White House servant Cecil Gains will still hit US cinemas this Friday. Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker leads as THE BUTLER, an African-American man who worked over several decades at the world famous address through terms beginning with Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1953 and ending with Ronald Reagan in the 1980s. Becoming eyewitness to notable events throughout his 36-year tenure.

LEE DANIELS’ THE BUTLER tells the story of a White House butler who served eight American presidents over three decades. The film traces the dramatic changes that swept American society during this time, from the civil rights movement to Vietnam and beyond, and how those changes affected this man’s life and family.

We’ve a brand new trailer and international poster double for the film still awaiting a UK release.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
