THN’s Top 7 Motorcycle Chases/ Escapes In Cinematic History

The Place Beyond The Pines
Ryan Gosling plays Luke in THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES – who abandons his Evil Knievel inspired Circus job to become a bank robber. Both occupations require his bike which plays quite an important part in the movie. Gosling rides with such speed and dexterity that although he uses his talent to commit a crime, he’s so good at it it’s almost forgiven. We’ve collected our favourite Motorcycle Chases/Escapes ever. Of course our favourite is Gosling’s ride through the pines in THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES because he practices safety and wears a helmet while on the bike – although, this may be because he’s hiding his face during the robberies, but we still admire how responsible he is.

GHOST RIDER

Nic Cage has always been known as a man obsessed with comic books. After failing to play Superman in Tim Burton’s version back in the 90s he had to settle to play the Ghost Rider. Now, the Ghost Rider isn’t the worst superhero out there (I’m looking at you Punisher) but it’s almost comic that Nic Cage would play a superhero in any shape or form. That is, until The Ghost Rider puts his flame on and sets out on a bad ass motorcycle chase. It’s Nic Cage, on fire on a bike…check out the awesomeness here.

Isra has probably seen one too many movies and has serious issues with differentiating between reality and film - which is why her phone number starts with 555. She tries to be intellectual and claims to enjoy German and Swedish film, but in reality anything with a pretty boy in it will suffice.

What about Mike Bast’s work (as the James Caan character) on “Freebie and the Bean”?
