Full Trailer Hits For ‘Homeland’ Season 3

We finally have a closer look at the third season of cable network Showtime’s Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning gripping series HOMELAND. Leads Claire Danes, Damian Lewis and Mandy Patinkin return to the nail-biting show centred on a troubled CIA agent and her obsession (or love) with congressman-turned-terrorist, Nicholas Brody. It premieres in the US on the 29th September at 9 p.m. ET/PT and is expected to begin in the UK on the 6th October.

“Homeland” tells the story of Carrie Mathison (Danes), a CIA officer battling her own demons, who becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to the rescue of U.S. soldier, then Congressman, now fugitive, Nicholas Brody (Lewis) was a setup and may be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil. Season three opens during the aftermath of the horrific terror attack that decimated the U.S. intelligence apparatus, and prompted a global manhunt for the world’s most wanted terrorist, Nick Brody. As Carrie and Saul (Patinkin) begin to pick up the pieces of their shattered professional and personal lives, they are swept up in the political and media firestorm surrounding the terror attack and the subsequent search for Brody’s whereabouts.

HOMELAND is developed for television by Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon, based on the original Israeli series “Prisoners of War” by Gideon Raff. It co-stars Morena Baccarin, Rupert Friend, Sarita Choudhoury, F. Murray Abraham, Tracy Letts, Jackson Pace and Morgan Saylor. Source: Showtime

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
