It’s not every day that you see a HARRY POTTER alum run a rock’n’roll club. Today we can bring you the brand new trailer for CBGB, featuring Alan Rickman as Hilly Kristal, the founding father of the Country, Bluegrass and Blue club in downtown New York.
Co-starring Ashley Greene, Rupert Grint, Malin Akerman, Johnny Galecki, Donal Logue and many, many more, CBGB sees Kristal set up his own music bar/club in New York, hoping to attract up-and-coming country singers to perform and bring in paying punters. However, with the dirtiest bathroom known to man and a cockroach problem, Hilly isn’t doing too well…until he invites some rock’n’roll kids to play the venue. CBGB is known for starting the careers of Blondie, The Police, Talking Heads, Iggy Pop and The Ramones (amongst others), so expect this film to go off with a bang!
CBGB currently has an estimated US release date of October 2013.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
