Every once in a while, a documentary comes by that you know that you just can’t miss, and the big one at the moment is 12 O’CLOCK BOYS. The film marks Lofty Nathan’s directorial debut, which he produced alongside Eric Blair, Taylor Gillespie, and John Kassab, and the film premiered at the SXSW Film Festival.
Set in Baltimore, Maryland, 12 O’CLOCK BOYS follows an inner city dirt bike gang and a 12-year-old boy named Pug who desperately tries to join. Think of it as SONS OF ANARCHY meets THE WIRE, then realise that 12 O’CLOCK BOYS is actually real life.
The film has got great hype, and Nathan won HBO’s Emerging Artist Award for the documentary. The film also shows just what good comes of Kickstarter, as the film was mostly funded through it.
The film is currently on the Film Festival circuit, with an expected release this year. Check out the trailer below:
