New UK Quad For Ron Howard’s ‘Rush’

We’ve already seen him unleashed today in his signature, hammer-swinging demigod role of THOR in Marvel sequel THE DARK WORLD trailer, but we also have another, altogether different performance in Ron Howard’s RUSH, for which to look forward to seeing Chris Hemsworth in.

The Oscar-winning director of A BEAUTIFUL MIND reunites with Universal Pictures for the dramatisation of the Formula One rivalry between charismatic English James Hunt and determined and disciplined Austrian driver Niki Lauda during the 1976 season that almost claimed Lauda’s life. The screenplay coming from British biopic specialist Peter Morgan, who previously worked with Howard in adapting his riveting stage-play FROST/NIXON for the big-screen.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
