‘Glee’ Tribute Episode To Address Drug Addiction

After the shocking passing of GLEE star Cory Monteith the big question has been just how this would affect his character Finn Hudson on the hit show. Fox president Kevin Reilly has revealed that Monteith’s character will be written off in episode three of season five.

He said a TCA summer press tour:

“That is the episode where Cory’s character will be written out and will deal directly with drug addiction and with the circumstances surrounding Cory’s death”

But he did say that Finn might not die in a similar circumstance, instead it would feature PSAs about drug addiction that the cast have filmed. He also revealed that all money made from the songs in that episode will be donated to charities or treatment centers for celebrities in memory of Monteith.

Reilly also revealed that he does not think the show will go beyond season six, after GLEE got an unusual renewal of two seasons instead of the typical one season basis. Now that the show will not have one of its key players, we can’t imagine GLEE going on either.

GLEE returns at the end of September.
