We’ve a bunch of casting updates regarding a number of projects.
We begin with Christopher Nolan’s star-studded sci-fi thriller INTERSTELLAR. THE PAPERBOY and JACK REACHER’s David Oyelowo, and CLOUD ATLAS actor David Gyasi will join Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace, Michael Caine, Mackenzie Foy, John Lithgow, Ellen Burstyn, Bill Irwin and Timothee Chalamet, in the story centred on the space explorers and scientists that find their theories that gravity fields and wormholes can be manipulated for time-travel come to fruition.
Next we have news that Vanessa Hudgens and stand-up comedian/actor Denis Leary are both set to join comic creature-feature, THE KITCHEN SINK. The Sony Pictures film has a script from Oren Uziel which follows a group of teens who form an unlikely alliance with vampires and zombies when an alien invasion threatens our planet. It’s said to be in the same vein as ZOMBIELAND and already has Nicholas Braun, Mackenzie Davis, Josh Fadem, and Chris Zylka onboard.
Finally, Helen Hunt has new secured financing for her directorial debut RIDE for which she’ll also co-star and produce. The film follows a 20-year old New York University student who moves to California for a summer of surfing, only to see his strong-willed magazine editor mother following him to the West Coast when she learns of his opportunity-wasting exercise. However, once there, she falls for her sons surf teacher and discovers there is more to life than work. Luke Wilson, David Zayas, Mike White,Richard Kind, Leonor Varela, Elizabeth Jayne and Brenton Thwaites round out the supporting cast
