We are absolutely loving Netflix’s ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK here on the Stage & Small Screen section of THN, and we are desperately waiting for season two already! But if you are a fan of the hit show, you will be happy to know that there will be another lady heading to Litchfield Prison when it returns.
It was revealed that Lorraine Toussaint has been casted in a ‘heavily recurring’ role. Her character will be named Vee, a long-time street tough who ran her own drug business who recruited children to serve as runners. You may know Toussaint from films like THE SOLOIST and MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.
But the best news is that we will be seeing more of a current prisoner at Litchfield. Danielle Brooks, who plays Taystee in ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, has been upped to a season regular! In season one, Taystee was released from prison, but found herself back inside when she realised just how worst off she was. She joins another newly upped season regular who we won’t say the name of in this post (because SPOILERS!)
All we can say is bring on season two!
