Another Nicholas Sparks Movie Is In The Works

Best of MeWho said romance in film was dead? Well no one, considering this seems like the 100th Nicholas Sparks adaptation we’ve had in the last few years. It was revealed that Relativity will be taking on Nicholas Sparks novel THE BEST OF ME, after buying the rights from Warner Bros.

It seems to be some sort of package deal too, as it come with an already written script by J. Mills Goodloe and REMEMBER ME and THE LUCKY ONE writer Will Fetters. THE LAST STATION director Michael Hoffman is attached to direct but is also currently re writing the script with Fetters.

Maybe we’re over exaggerating with the 100th movie comment (it’s actually eight) but let’s have a look at the synopsis:

THE BEST OF ME tells the story of former high school sweethearts who see each other after 20 years when they return to their small town for the funeral of a friend. While they attempt to reignite the sparks from two decades ago, the forces that drove them apart twenty years ago live on. The novel is about first love and second chances

Sounds ALL too familiar doesn’t it?
