Sylvester Stallone is set to return as his iconic role of Rocky in a brand new spin-off movie named CREED, based on the character of Apollo Creed’s grandson. Michael B. Jordan will play the role with FRUITVALE STATION’s Ryan Coogler jumping aboard to write and direct.
Aaron Covington will also pen the screenplay which will revolve entirely around young Creed with Stallone in the Rocky role as the fighter’ reluctant trainer.
How cool is this? We thought that we were never going to ever see Rocky back on the big-screen, but judging by this news we very much are. How do we feel about this?

I really liked the last Rocky movie…surprisingly good. the last Rambo movie was pretty wild, too, come to think of it.

I’m on board, seeing as Rocky won’t be fighting himself this time, and they didn’t (I assume) try to continue the franchise with a young white guy.
