Toronto International Film Festival 2013: Full Line-Up Announced

The line-up for the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)  has been announced. The festival will kick off on 5th September with the premiere of the WikiLeaks drama from Bill Condon, THE FIFTH ESTATE. It will close a ten days later with the premiere of LIFE OF CRIME, which is based on the fantastic 1978  novel ‘The Switch,’ by Elmore Leonard. The film stars Jennifer Aniston, John Hawkes,  Mos Def, Isla Fisher, Will Forte, Mark Boone Jr, and Tim Robbins. The book is a prequel to the novel ‘Rum Punch,’ which was filmed by Quwntin Tarantino as JACKIE BROWN, a massive THN fave.

Also screening at this year’s festival is Ron Howards F1 drama RUSH, Steve McQueen’s 12 YEARS A SLAVE, Ralph Fiennes’ THE INVISIBLE WOMAN, Jason Reitman’s LABOR DAY, DEVIL’S KNOT, THE RAILWAY MAN, AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY starring Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts, Richard Ayoade’s THE DOUBLE, STARRED UP, PHILOMENA, Jonathan Glazer’s UNDER THE SKIN and David Gordon Green’s JOE.

Other notable mentions include the George Clooney and Sandra Bullock starrer GRAVITY, MAN OF TAI CHI from Keanu Reeves, DALLAS BUYERS CLUB with Matthew McConaughey and Joseph-Gordon Levitt’s directorial debut DON JON.
