Even though the stars of the show, Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch were not present at the panel, BBC’s SHERLOCK Comic Con panel was still the place to be, with executive producers Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss, and Sue Vertue taking to the stage.

Fans got a glimpse at a clip from a scene in episode two of series three, which is titled ‘The Sign Of Three’, and then fan questions quickly took over the panel, It was revealed at the panel that Gatiss will be reprising his role as Mycroft in series three as the show is aiming to explore the impact of Sherlock’s fake suicide. It was also revealed that episode one of series three will be based on the story ‘The Empty House‘ from the popular Sherlock Holmes series from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. But of course, Steven Moffat kept his title of the most trolling show runner that has ever graced a TV series.

When asked how Sherlock survived the fall in series two’s finale, Gatiss said:

“There are only so many ways that one can survive a fall off the roof. There is no black magic.”

But when a fan asked if there are any clues in the episode, Moffat said:

“Of course! What’s taking you so long?”

What did we tell you? Trolling or what? They did however, decline to comment whether any online theories were true. Either way, the panel was a great success and kept fans excited for when SHERLOCK returns to BBC.
