Britt Robertson Grabs Role In Brad Bird’s ‘Tomorrowland’

Actress Britt Robertson has been announced as the female lead in Disney’s upcoming sci-fi project TOMORROWLAND. which is being led by George Clooney with Brad Bird (MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL) behind the camera.  The actress will play a rebellious high school girl with a knack for technology who needs Clooney’s help as a former inventor on her journey.  Raffey Cassidy (Mr Selfridge) will play a kid robot and Hugh Laurie is also on board as the bad guy. Robertson, Clooney and Cassidy will team up to try and save a place called Tomorrowland.

Robertson has held bit parts in movies DAN IN REAL LIFE, SCREAM 4 and the FAMILY TREE as well as the lead in indie romance THE FIRST TIME but it is in TV where she has held her biggest roles to date.  With lead roles in Life Unexpected and The Secret Circle as well as CBS sci-fi horror Under The Dome, currently airing in the US, Robertson is now making a move to the big screen.  Filming has already been completed on indie drama WHITE RABBIT and Vince Vaughan sperm donor comedy DELIVERY MAN.

The film is currently in pre-production and is due out in December 2014 in the US.
