Last week we reported that ARGO director Ben Affleck had officially signed on to star in David Fincher’s next project GONE GIRL. Adapted from the novel written by Gillian Flynn, Affleck will play Nick, a husband who comes under police scrutiny after his wife goes missing. But who is to play his other half?
The internet has been buzzing with rumours over who will play Amy, with Charlize Theron and the even film’s producer Reese Witherspoon thrown into the mix. However, Fincher has reportedly stated that he’d like PRIDE AND PREJUDICE star Rosamund Pike as his ‘Gone Girl’. Although an official offer hasn’t yet been made we’re already excited!
Flynn will adapt her novel all the way through to the production stage, meaning she’s fully involved with character development and detail. Fincher is a superb director and anyone able to work with him should feel very special. Hopefully Rosamund is next in line…

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
