While many superhero surveyors are throwing their toys out of the pram over an infestation of villains in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, I for one am very excited. I didn’t think much of the reboot which I felt retread a lot of the same ground as the original, but at least director Marc Webb is taking the franchise in a completely different direction. Whether it’s good or bad, at least it seems ambitious.
Below we have the latest look at Spider-Man, along with his new fancy logo. The packed film will see Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) go up against Jamie Foxx’s Electro as well as Paul Giamatti’s Rhino. Chris Cooper is also on board as Norman Osborn and Colm Feore co-stars as Adrian Tooms, both of whom will probably take on villainous guises later in the series. The logo and picture are simple, but effective, and are a good enough tease before Comic Con.
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is released 2nd May 2014. It stars Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx, Emma Stone, Sally Field, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Chris Cooper, Dane DeHaan and Felicity Jones.
